Kommer att börja lira med en jmp 100w topp (senare hälften av 70 talet tror jag) strax och gillar slutstegsdisten, har tillgång till en weber mass 100 attenuator men den är ju lite klen för en marshall med 100 watt på "fullt ställ" så jag undrar vad kommer toppen att tycka om att jag ställer den på tex 8 Ohm och attenuatorn på 16 Ohm (eller 4/8 4/16)? Då kommer ju uteffekten att minska men får jag andra problem? trafos mm? Bara en fundering ;o) Mvh Anders |

En sån där attenuator sväljer ju bara den del av effekten som du inte vill ska nå högtalaren. Det betyder att den utsätts för 100w först när du ställer den på 0 volym. Om du ställer den på -3dB sväljer den 50w, vid -6dB 75w, vid -9dB 87,5w osv. Varje - 3dB-steg ger en halvering av uteffekten. Resten går ju till högtalaren. Så din 100w Weber är nog designad för en 100w stärk, blir alltså varmare ju mer du tar ner signalen, men tål det säkert. Du bör inte lattja med impedanserna, konsekvenserna kan bli förödande och är svåra att förutse. Du vinner inget på det heller. "The Tone is in your fingers": HA! http://kuhnamps.com |

When you run the amp full blast, the output devices actually become more efficient because distortion is not considered. Om nu herr Weber en gång har insett och har kunskap om allt detta, varför väljer han inte då att kalla den attenuator som tål en 50 watts förstärkare på full spjäl för 50 watts-modellen, oberoende om han själv vet att den egentligen tål det dubbla vid rena signaler? Då skulle man slippa allt detta med att "du måste använda 100 watts-modellen till en 50 watts förstärkare om du vill använda attenuatorn till det som är poängen med en attenuator". ------ Dom låter alla lika |
